BLACK SALT
This isn’t black, you say. No Your right. Magic. Or something. The crystals are black, but turn a pinkish color when ground.  Used mostly in South Asian cuisine, Kala Namak is considered a cooling spice in ayurvedic medicine
I first was given a taste of this salt when a friend of mine gave me some home made naan bread. She told me to heat it up  with a bit of oil and a sprinkling of this mineral salt.  When the salt is heated up, it gives of a sulfery smell and taste.  It’s used alot in indian snacks.
Why would I want salt that smells like farts you say? 
Remember eggs?

This salt is perfect to add to things like tofu scrambles, faux egg salad, and things like that.  It’s actually pretty cool on most things.
